2026 PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS
The City of Tombstone has received the Certification of Election Results from the Cochise County Elections Department for the July 21, 2026 Primary Election. The certification confirms the official tabulation of votes cast for the City of Tombstone Mayor and Council Member races.
The City Council will canvass the election results during its Regular City Council Meeting on:

Because no candidate for Ward 4 received the number of votes required to be declared elected at the Primary Election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes; James "Lefty" Newbauer and Jenn Burns will advance to the November 3, 2026 General Election.
The City of Tombstone congratulates the candidates advancing to the General Election and thanks all candidates for their willingness to serve the community. We also extend our appreciation to every voter who participated in the 2026 Primary Election.
